As I sit alone
I see the clarity
of nature's position
she takes all of what she needs
lest it be taken from her
the sun says goodnight
and she rests until morning
to start all over again
drinking the rain
welcoming the rays
singing earth's song

  1. I hope you were able to fulfill your poem's dreams on your trip, Robin! Thanks for sharing with us. I'm curious about the art/illustration at the top -- where did it come from? It's wonderful and suits your poem well.

  2. This is a beautiful poem and illustration. "Singing Earth's song" is my favorite line.

  3. I love the picture, Betsy and hope you're getting some of those kinds of times on your adventure! And love the idea of earth resting at night, readying for a new day. Glad you were able to post!

  4. Love the poem. Love the illustration.

  5. Peace - you seem to have found it in your adventure.

  6. Your poem and the illustration-- such a handsome couple! I especially love the poem's opening, "As I sit alone/ I see the clarity/ of nature's position..."
